Harry Sweeney is a professional Events and Documentary Photographer based in London. He specialises in cultural events such as film festivals, as great lover of all things creative. With clients such as BFI and the Saatchi Gallery, he aims to convey the energy of events, giving the viewer a sense of how it feels to be in these cultural spaces. He draws from his background in documentary photography to achieve this, capturing often candid moments of joy and human connection. Sweeney’s events photography has recently featured in The Guardian and Empire Magazine.

Alongside his events photography, Sweeney’s personal work is a big part of his practice. Primarily shooting in analogue, his images sit somewhere between fine art and social documentary photography. They often make use of available light to document his everyday life and those of the people around him, exploring themes of identity and human relationships. A notable documentary project of Sweeney’s focused on student life during the Covid Pandemic, this work was the subject of a BBC article in 2022.
